Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007
CDM-C Services
BCA Project Services provides CDM-Co-ordinator services for all types of projects including traditional building,
environmental and civil engineering:
The Regulations were introduced in 1995 and revised in 2007, their aim being to:
- Improve the planning and management of projects from the very start.
- Identify hazards early on, so that they can be eliminated or reduced at the design or planning stage and
the remaining risks can be properly managed.
- Target effort where it can do the most good in terms of health and safety and -
- Discourage unnecessary bureaucracy.
The CDM Regulations apply to all forms of construction works (as defined by the CDM Regulations 2007) and Clients, in the case of notifiable projects, must appoint a competent CDM-C.
The Client's Architect would provide initial advice on the need for CDM and further information is also available on the HSE website.
